REPORT: CBS TURNED DOWN OFFER TO INTERVIEW TIGER WOODS

CBS News has declined an invitation to interview Tiger Woods, the New York Times reported today, citing unnamed CBS executives. The network, it said, was to have been the third to be granted five minutes with Woods, who was interviewed by ESPN and the Golf Channel on Sunday. One executive observed that CBS would not have had the opportunity to broadcast the interview until The Early Show on Monday. “By then,” he said, “the other interviews would have been replayed and seen on every local news and sports report.”
