FOX STATIONS FACE FINES FOR”AMERICAN DAD” EPISODE

The FCC may fine Fox Television Stations $25,000 for failing to provide it with information about an episode of the animated American Dad in which one of the characters is instructed to masturbate a horse. (“Give it a full release,” the character says. “Give it a happy photo finish. Take the glue out of the factory. … Grant him a bone loan.”) The FCC said Thursday that since January, when the show aired, it had received more than 100,000 complaints, principally instigated by the religious watchdog groups Parents Television Council and the American Family Association. The FCC said that Fox’s response to its request for information about the show had been inadequate, that it did not, for example, specify which of its stations had aired the show.
