SHEEN IN COLORADO PLEA DEAL

June 2, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Removing the prospect that CBS’s top sitcom 2 1/2 Men may have to shut down because of star Charlie Sheen’s personal and legal problems, Sheen has reportedly entered into a plea agreement with Colorado authorities under which he will plead no contest to a misdemeanor charge of assaulting his wife and be sentenced to one month in jail. With good behavior, that period could be reduced to as little as two weeks. He had originally been charged with two misdemeanor charges and a felony count that could have put him away for as long as three years. The website E! Online quoted Aspen, CO deputy D.A. Arnold Mordkin as confirming only that a plea deal had been reached. Since production of 2 1/2 Men is currently on summer hiatus, Sheen’s incarceration should not affect its shooting schedule.
