TITANIC ACTRESS GLORIA STUART DIES AT 100

Gloria Stuart, the onetime silver screen star whose career was revived in old age when she appeared as the 101-year-old Titanic survivor Rose Calvert in Titanic, has died in Los Angeles, one year short of the age of her character. In 1998, at the age of 87, Stuart received a best-supporting actress Oscar nomination for her performance — the oldest performer ever to receive the nomination. (She lost out to Kim Basinger.)
