APPLE TV SURPRISINGLY SELLS OUT ACROSS THE COUNTRY

October 6, 2010 by · 1 Comment

After less than one week in the stores, Apple’s new scaled-down Apple TV device has outperformed expectations. Barron’s today (Wednesday) quoted JMP Research analyst Alex Gauna as informing clients that the device has sold out in many Apple Stores nationwide. The device can be used to stream content from the Internet to TV sets. “We were not particularly surprised when we couldn’t get our hands on the Apple TV over this past introductory weekend in San Francisco, but when the scarcity persisted into this week it got us to checking and we subsequently learned that stores across the nation were selling out of their inventory on the same day as receipt in Boston, Chicago, New York and Washington D.C.,” Gauna wrote.
