AS EXPECTED, LOU DOBBS MOVES TO FOX BUSINESS NETWORK

November 11, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

The long predicted move by former CNN host Lou Dobbs to Fox Business Network will take place during the first quarter of next year, the cable network said Wednesday. FBN announced that it had signed a multi-year deal with Dobbs, but it did not disclose the terms, nor did it indicate whether Dobbs would also be making appearances on corporate sibling Fox News Channel. He will presumably continue to host his syndicated radio talk show. Fox Business Network has made little ratings progress against the NBC Universal-owned CNBC since it went on the air in 2007, but some observers have suggested it hasn’t really tried and is actually only getting into shape to take on its rival in 2012 when it will be able to obtain complete rights to the content of the News Corp-owned Wall Street Journal, now held by CNBC, and have the newspaper’s journalists do double duty for it.
