The final performance episode of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars captured 23.28 million viewers Monday night, dominating the ratings in total adults and 18-49-year-old viewers. The 73-minute penultimate show of the season was followed by the series premiere of Skating with the Stars, which didn’t come close to equaling its lead-in’s numbers. While the first half hour, which included 13 minutes of Dancing, attracted 19.45 million viewers, the audience quickly went elsewhere. By its final half-hour at 10:30, only 6 million viewers were still tuned in. Skating‘s loss was the other networks’ gain, as each of them saw improvements, particularly CBS, whose Mike & Molly attracted 12.99 million viewers and Hawaii Five-0, 12.09 million.
