The audience for NFL football on Sunday was down slightly from previous weeks, but the telecasts still scored the highest ratings of the night. An overrun on Fox at 7:00 p.m. recorded 16.4 million viewers, while NBC’s Sunday Night Football averaged 15.4 million viewers. Despite the solid numbers of the NFL telecasts, CBS produced impressive ratings for its own schedule, with 12.4 million people tuning in for 60 Minutes at 7:00 p.m.; 10.9 million for The Amazing Race at 8:00 p.m.; 12.9 million for the first hour of the Hallmark special November Christmas at 9:00 p.m.; and 13.8 million for the second hour at 10:00 p.m.
