Thanks largely to the strength of Inception, which grossed nearly $290 million domestically in the third quarter, Time Warner was able to report today (Wednesday) that revenue for its filmed entertainment division, which includes Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema, was flat with last year at $2.78 billion, when it raked in big earnings from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Hangover. Time Warner said that its strongest performer was its networks division, which includes Turner Broadcasting and HBO, where revenue grew 9 percent to $23 billion from $2.76 billion in the year-ago quarter.
