Taking a cue perhaps from the characters in their movie, The Fighter, RelativityMedia chief Ryan Kavanaugh and Paramount COO Rob Moore are engaging in a full-fledged internecine brawl following Paramount’s sneak screening of The Fighter at the AFI Festival in Hollywood Tuesday, reported on Wednesday. Relativity, which is partnered in the movie with Paramount, claims that it was not informed of the screening until Tuesday afternoon, an assertion that Paramount denies. Relativity had its own premiere of Skyline on Tuesday, and, according to TheWrap, Mark Wahlberg, who stars in The Fighter with Christian Bale and who presented the film at the AFI event, was said to have been surprised that no Relativity executives were present. “Relativity has been concerned that Paramount was not devoting sufficient attention to The Fighter in the Oscar season — and instead focused on its own produced films,” the website reported.
