WITH NEW CONTRACT, ACTORS RIDE COACH CLASS

November 10, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

An overlooked clause in the new tentative contract between the two actors’ unions, SAG and AFTRA, and the producers group AMPTP requires actors to settle for flying coach class for location productions rather than first class, as stipulated in the previous contract, the Hollywood Reporter reported today (Wednesday). According to the trade publication, the new rule applies to flights of less than 1,000 miles, with a few exceptions. Actors still will be allowed the first-class perk on longer flights.
