THE PEACOCK CROWS AGAIN

Look who was the No. 1-rated network last week. NBC, that’s who — at any rate among the key demo of adults 18-49. The struggling network rose to the top spot for the first time this season thanks to the best ratings ever for Sunday Night Football and impressive — if unexpected — ratings for its Monday-night holiday competition The Sing Off. As The Biggest Loser headed towards its finale, it, too, turned out to be a big winner, as was a one-hour The Office holiday special. Among total adults, CBS once again prevailed. It was the eleventh time out of 12 weeks of the current season. Among the nightly newscasts, NBC remained on top with 9.42 million viewers, followed by ABC with 8.40 million. CBS remained a distant third with 6 million viewers.
