Wednesday’s edition of American Idol averaged 22.18 million viewers, peaking in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour with 24.11 million and once again attracting more viewers than all of the competition combined, according to Nielsen Research. Meanwhile, struggling NBC continued to wage a losing battle. Its Minute to Win It had a minute audience of just 3.25 million viewers while a repeat of Law & Order: SVU at 9:00 p.m.attracted 3.28 million viewers.
