Three installments of Dancing with the Stars helped put ABC on top of the Nielsen ratings for the first time this season (excluding the week of the Oscars). Three other ABC shows landed in the Nielsen top ten as well, Body of Proof, Better With You and Grey’s Anatomy. It was a first-time appearance in the top ten for Better with You, which got a temporary slot on Monday night and boosted its ratings 63 percent from its previous outing on Wednesday night. Many observers had given it a slim chance to survive past this season. ABC finished the week with an average 5.5 rating and a 9 share, followed close behind by CBS, the usual leader, with an average 5.3/9. Fox placed third with a 4.8/8, while NBC remained a distant fourth with a 3.6/6.

The Mentalist, CBS, 8.5/14; 6. Dancing With the Stars Special, ABC, 8.4/13; 7. Body of Proof, ABC, 7.9/13; 8. NCIS, CBS, 7.2/11; 9. Better With You,, ABC, 7.1/11; 10. Grey’s Anatomy, ABC, 7/11.
