Some 42 million viewers watched coverage of the 2011 NFL draft on the NFL Network, ESPN and ESPN2, the NFL said on Monday, referring to the number of people who tuned in to at least a few minutes of the coverage. Millions more watched on mobile devices. The NFL said that it delivered 22.4 million streams on, up from 5.2 million in 2010. Top NFL markets posted outstanding ratings. Draft coverage drew 566,000 viewers in Buffalo alone, the NFL said (presumably referring to the number of times people in Buffalo tuned in to the coverage since the total population of Buffalo is only about 270,000).
