Donald Trump in Scotland

A documentary describing the efforts of local citizens living near Aberdeen, Scotland to halt Donald Trump’s plans to build a $1 billion luxury development and “the world’s best golf course” in the Scottish countryside has won the Green Award at the Sheffield Doc/Fest 2011, an international documentary film festival. In presenting the award to Scottish filmmaker Anthony Baxter for his entry, You’ve Been Trumped, the panel of judges said, “We hope that this award will raise awareness and hold Donald Trump to account for his environmental and social belligerence, and expose the corruption and incompetence at the heart of the Scottish authorities which let this destruction go ahead.” The film has been dismissed by the Trump organization as a fraud.” Anthony Baxter has no credibility, and from what we have seen the film has been widely regarded as a failure,” it said in a statement. “This film is a poor attempt at making money off the Trump name.” Baxter responded on Twitter: “Trump accusing me of having ‘no credibility’ — this from the tycoon who questioned whether Obama was a U.S. citizen.” “>A trailer for the film has been posted on YouTube.
