In its second outing, the U.S. edition of The X Factor on Fox dipped slightly in the ratings from its premiere but nevertheless was strong enough to give Fox another Wednesday-night victory among adults 18-49. Among total adults, Fox ran neck-and-neck with CBS. In the 8:00 p.m. hour, The X Factor drew 10.7 million viewers, versus 10.5 million for CBS’s Survivor: South Pacific. (ABC’s series premier of Suburgatory at 8:30 p.m. attracted 9.8 million.) At 9:00 p.m. The X Factor with 12.3 million viewers, lost to ABC’s Modern Family with 13.2 million and CBS’s Criminal Minds with 12.6 million. CBS’s longtime ratings stalwart CSI: Crime Scene Investigation maintained a commanding lead at 10:00 p.m. with 11.6 million viewers, while ABC’s Revenge dropped slightly in its second week to 8.55 million viewers.
