Rise of the Planet of the Apes rose again to the top of the DVD sales charts last week, according to Nielsen VideoScan First Alert. Disney/DreamWorks’ The Help placed second on the list, followed by Warner Bros.’ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2. None of these had any significant competition from Final Destination 5, which made its debut on DVD and Blu-ray and placed fifth on the sales charts. Another newcomer, Anchor Bay’s Apollo 18, debuted in ninth place. Both films were also losers when they were released theatrically. Meanwhile, Home Media magazine reported that the No. 1 film on the rental chart was Sony’s Colombiana, followed by Lionsgate’s Warrior and and Apollo 18.
