A $9 DVD sale at Target, the No. 2 home-video seller (after Walmart) in the nation, pushed several movies that have been out of the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert top-ten sales list for weeks back into it again. (The Nielsen chart, which does not cite actual grosses, also does not include Walmart sales.) Home Media magazine observed that the biggest beneficiary of the sale was The Help, which shot to No. 2 on the chart from No. 11 the previous week. Rise of the Planet of the Apes rose to No. 5 from No. 30, while Cars went to No. 6 from No. 31. Leading all of them, for the second consecutive week, was The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1, which also topped the magazine’s rental chart.
