Helped by a two-day debut in China that brought in $12.7 million, Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol has again topped the overseas box office. With a total of $25.2 million in ticket sales for the weekend, the film has now collected $369.4 million abroad and $571.9 million worldwide, putting it ahead of the highest-grossing installment in the franchise, Mission: Impossible II (2000), which amassed $546 million worldwide. Meanwhile, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows also continued to show strength overseas. With a weekend take of $18.1 million, the film has now earned $294 million overseas and $476.2 million worldwide.
