ROCK CENTER CRUMBLES

While NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams outdraws nearly all of NBC’s primetime programs despite being broadcast at a time when far fewer viewers make up the total TV audience, Williams’s Rock Center continues to flop in primetime. Wednesday night’s edition attracted just 2.61 million viewers, which not only was a low for the series, but is likely a low for any NBC News-produced primetime show ever. The website TVbytheNumbers.com pointed out that on the same night, The O’Reilly Factor on Fox News Channel drew more viewers — 2.89 million. Last week NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams averaged 8.90 million viewers, higher than any NBC primetime show with the exception of The Voice (16.85 million) and Harry’s Law (9.44 million).
