On Sunday — the same day that the New York Times reported that ratings for TV network shows had plummeted — ratings for all of the network shows zoomed up, particularly among the 18-49 age group, the demographic that advertisers prefer. “The broadcast networks were granted a small reprieve on Sunday,” the Times allowed, noting in particular that ABC’s airing of “Firelight,” an installment of the Hallmark Hall of Fame franchise, drew 7.6 million viewers versus last fall’s Hallmark offering, “Mitch Albom’s Have a Little Faith,” which drew 6.5 million.
