MEMORIAL DAY RATINGS NOT MEMORABLE

May 29, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

All of the major television networks with the exception of NBC aired a full slate of reruns on Memorial Day, a day when most Americans traditionally spend more time behind their barbeques than in front of their TV sets. NBC, which ordinarily ranks last among the major networks, wound up with more viewers for its America’s Got Talent than the other networks drew for their programs combined. Although the show’s 10.03 million count fell 16 percent below last week’s numbers, it set up a strong lead-in for NBC’s American Ninja Warrior, which beat out a rerun of CBS’s usually dominant Two and a Half Men among viewers 18-49 and narrowly lost to it among total viewers. (Men: 5.86 million viewers; Warrior: 5.73 million.)
