The overseas audience’s love affair with Will Smith appeared undiminished as Men in Black 3 took in more abroad in its second week than it did domestically in its first. The Sony film added $79.1 million to its foreign gross, which now stands at $275.4 million. Today’s (Monday) Hollywood Reporter noted that in Germany, it dropped just 2 percent while it actually increased by 2 percent in the U.K. Opening in 45 territories — about half as many as MIB3 — Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman bagged $39.3 million. Fox opened Prometheus in 15 markets one week before its U.S. release and scored strongly in most of them. Despite the Queen’s Jubilee festivities in the U.K., it grossed just under $10 million in the U.K., a record for a Ridley Scott movie.
