Online movie renter Netflix may be doing all in its power to persuade its customers who rent discs by mail to switch to streaming instead, but a new survey concludes that most viewers prefer watching video entertainment on physical media. As reported by Home Media magazine, a study by SAY Media reported that 9 percent of respondents primarily watch videos via DVD or Blu-ray Disc, while 7 percent rely on streaming services. The trade magazine report did not account for the remaining 86 percent. Oddly, the report also referred to the study being conducted among bipartisan voters although politics was not otherwise mentioned in the article.
