NBC has offered Savannah Guthrie the job of co-host of Today, where she would replace Ann Curry, the Hollywood Reporter reported on Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of the negotiations. The trade publication said that it is not known whether Guthrie, who is currently the news reader on the morning talk show, accepted the offer. Curry, the trade paper said, would be given a “substantial” role in the news division. The Business Insider blog, operated by former Wall Street media analyst Henry Blodget, reported Tuesday that under terms of its contract with Curry, NBC is obliged to pay her $10 million a year for the next two years. Instead, it said, it has offered pay her that amount for one year and make her a foreign correspondent for the remainder of her contract.
