Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows held on to the top spot on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert DVD and Blu-ray sales charts for last week. The Warner Bros. movie, which collected $186.8 million at the domestic box office and $543.8 million worldwide, had little competition. Project X, also from Warner Bros, brought in just $54.7 million in theaters, but wound up in second place on the home video sales charts. Universal’s Big Miracle, which flopped with only $20 million in theater ticket sales, managed to place third on the video sales chart. Rounding out the top five were Act of Valor at No. 4 and Safe House at No. 5. Actual DVD and Blu-ray sales results are not disclosed by the studios.
