An unidentified 26-year-old man has become the 24th person arrested in the U.K. in connection with the telephone hacking scandal that led to the demise of News Corp’s News of the World Sunday tabloid. The man, police said, was not a journalist but worked in some other capacity for News International, the umbrella group for all of Murdoch’s newspapers in the U.K. In a message to the company’s staff, CEO Tom Mockridge said that the company was providing legal support to the man “and we will do all we can to support our colleague as he legal process takes its course. No one is prejudging the outcome of these investigations.”
