BACHELORETTE FINALE WINS WEEK

Bachelorette Emily Maynard
The season finale of ABC’s The Bachelorette was the top-rated show among the key 18-49 age group last week, but NBC’s summer stalwart
America’s Got Talent remained the winner among total adults. Nielsen reported that the Tuesday edition of
AGT attracted 10.17 million total viewers, well above the 8.86 million who watched
The Bachelorette on Sunday night’s finale. The post-game show
The Bachelorette: After the Rose was No. 2 among the 18-49 demo and No. 3 among total viewers, while the penultimate
Bachelorette show on Monday night finished ninth among the younger viewers and, oddly, sixth among viewers overall. Ratings for the evening newscasts were soft.
NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams remained the leader, but with only 7.74 million viewers.
ABC World News with Diane Sawyer was close behind with 7.32 million viewers, while the
CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley moved up a notch with 5.72 million. For the week overall, CBS held a slight lead with an average 3.5 rating and a 6 share. ABC placed second with a 3.2/6, followed by NBC with a 2.8/5 and Fox with a 2.2/4.
