NBC WINNING GOLD MEDAL IN THE JUGGERNAUT

ABC aired repeats of two episodes of its hit comedy Modern Family opposite the Olympics Wednesday night and couldn’t even crack the three-million viewer mark with either one. By contrast, NBC’s coverage of the Olympics averaged 30.6 million viewers. With the exception of a live broadcast of CBS’s Big Brother — with 5.3 million viewers, a season low, it was the second-highest-rated show of the night after the Olympics — everything else was a rerun, and the entire lot averaged just 3.3 million viewers.
