The auction house Christie’s plans to hold a “50 Years of James Bond” auction on October 5 at its London site, with bids being accepted online beginning September 28, it said today (Monday). In an announcement, the company commented that the auction will offer “the unique opportunity to acquire a piece of 007’s legacy, from the Aston Martin DBS driven in Quantum of Solace, to the Omega watch worn by Bond in the forthcoming Skyfall and a first edition book of Dr. No (1962) by Ian Fleming.” The auction will be divided into sections for each of the Bond novels and movies and include costumes, props, and first-edition books. Christie’s notes that they are being sold “without copyright.”
