NBC’s The Voice, which featured the final night of blind auditions, and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars wound up with almost identical ratings among total adults Monday night. Nielsen Research figured that 12.32 million viewers watched the NBC singing contest while 12.21 million watched the ABC dancing contest. (The difference between the two numbers is so small as to be statistically insignificant.) However, when it came to their ranking among the prized 18-49 age group, the difference was striking. The Voice attracted a 4.5 rating and an 11 share over its two-hour telecast, while, airing directly across it, Dancing with the Stars recorded a 2.0/5.
