According to Forbes magazine, Robert Pattinson earned $26.5 million last year, putting him on its list of the highest-paid stars under 30 (tied with his Twilight costar Taylor Lautner for eighth place), but Pattinson has told Entertainment Tonight that the current state of the economy left him feeling more restricted and less secure while filming the final two installments of the vampire series than he did when making the first ones. “It’s slightly worrying. It’s a fragile economy at the moment,” he told the syndicated TV tabloid, suggesting that he didn’t want to mess with the franchise’s formula lest he impair it. “I felt a lot more free in the first [Twilight film]. It felt quite dangerous. This one, you know your fate is still going to be at the front of it, but you have a lot less control than the beginning, so it’s kind of scary.”
