WORLD WAR Z DEBUTS AT NO. 1 ON HOME VIDEO

The summer theatrical blockbusters continued rolling out on the home-video market last week, with Paramount’s Brad Pitt starrer World War Z debuting in first place on all three major charts. Nielsen VideoScan’s First Alert’s DVD and Blu-ray Disc charts and Home Media magazine’s rental chart. The victory of the zombie movie pushed last week’s winner, Star Trek Into Darkness, another Paramount release, to No. 2 on those charts. No. 3 on all three charts was the third week of Lionsgate’s Now You See Me.
