Some music videos can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. But David Bowie’s latest one cost just $12.99, according to Bowie’s company. A source close to the singer told the London Daily Mirror: “Last week David had an idea. His new single ‘Love is Lost’ was to be released this week and a video clip was needed but he didn’t want celebrity guests or flashy production. So he picked up his small camera from home, rescued a couple of puppets from his legendary archive and developed the entire video over this last weekend at his New York offices.” The video is aimed at promoting a three-disc collectors set, The Next Day Extra, due to be released on Nov. 5.
