KUTCHER AND CRYER — TV’S HIGHEST-PAID ACTORS

Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer, the “Two” of CBS’s Two and a Half Men, are the highest-paid actors on television, each of them receiving more than $20 million annually, according to Forbes magazine. The magazine put Kutcher’s earnings at $24 million and Cryer’s at $21 million. Forbes‘s list estimated earnings of TV actors between June of 2012 and June of 2013. Angus T. Jones, the “Half” of the title, who has departed the series, earned about $11 million during that period and came in seventh on the Forbes list. When Kutcher was selected to star in the series, replacing Charlie Sheen, he remarked that being selected was like winning the lottery. Commented Forbes: “TV’s highest-paid actor is laughing all the way to the bank since replacing Sheen on Two and a Half Men after the troubled star’s 2011 flameout.” And, in a testament to the rewards of residuals, the magazine noted that Ray Romano, whose Everybody Loves Raymond, ended in 2005, still collects around $16 million per year from worldwide syndication, putting him just behind Kutcher and Cryer on the list.
