MICHAEL JACKSON REIGNS AS KING OF DEAD CELEBRITIES

It is ironic that Michael Jackson, who was reportedly struggling to avert bankruptcy at the time of his death in 2011, has now topped Forbes magazine’s list of the ten highest-earning dead celebrities with earnings of $160 million last year. He regained the top spot after Elizabeth Taylor took it over last year after auctions of her personal items brought her postmortem earnings to $210 million. However, in the ensuing year, said Forbes, her earnings dropped to $25 million. Placing third on the list was Elvis Presley, who netted $55 million from merchandise and tours of his Graceland home.
