WORLD SERIES GAME TWO: RATINGS UP FROM LAST YEAR

Ratings for Game 2 of the World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox nudged up a bit from last year’s record low of 12.3 million viewers to average 12.7 million. But the game, televised by Fox, was trounced in the first half hour by CBS’s The Big Bang Theory, which drew 16.6 million viewers. Ratings for the game peaked in the 10:00 p.m hour with 14.3 million. Game 3 of the Series is due to be played in Boston tonight. With just 10.5 million viewers tuning in, last year’s Game 3 was the lowest-rated World Series telecast in history.
