PRINCE WILLIAM CHALLENGES U.K. ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

Britain’s Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, has lent his support to a new campaign, “Give Something Back,” mounted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), aimed at encouraging veteran members of the British entertainment industry to mentor aspiring film, television and game creators and give them parttime work that would allow them to take their first steps in the industry. As reported by Britain’s Screen Daily, the prince said during a speech at BAFTA headquarters, that he regarded the “Give Something Back” program as “a special opportunity for our supremely talented professionals to offer a small amount of their time, or money, to contribute to BAFTA’s learning program.”
