Hard to believe, but the umpteenth rerun of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was the most-watched show in the 8:00 p.m. hour on Tuesday. The stop-motion-animated feature, which first aired in 1964, averaged 11.3 million viewers on CBS, easily won its time period, beating ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (9.69 million viewers), NBC’s The Biggest Loser (6.61 million), and Fox’s Dads (3.18 million/1.2) and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (3.69/1.5). And while the season finale of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars attracted the most total viewers for the night, peaking in the final half hour with 15.43 million viewers, Rudolph was the clear winner among viewers in the key 18-49 age group, averaging a 3.2 rating and a 9 share, versus a 2.4/7 for Dancing.
