If there’s a kid in your home, chances are that there was a copy of Despicable Me 2 under the Christmas tree this year. The animated movie from Universal Studios Home Entertainment remained at the top of the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart for the second week in a row. It was followed by another Universal release, Fast & Furious 6, which debuted in second place the previous week. Walt Disney’s The Lone Ranger, which flopped in its domestic theatrical release this year, galloped to third place in its first week on the sales chart. On Home Media‘s rental chart, Warner’s We’re the Millers came in at No. 1 as the 28-day holdback on Warner’s titles ended, followed by Universal’s 2 Guns. Elysium, from Sony, which does not require a 28-day delay, debuted at No. 3.
