IGER WAS $6 MILLION POORER THIS YEAR

Even media moguls can sometimes be forced to take a cut in compensation, as was the case this past year when, it was disclosed on Monday, Disney chief Robert Iger took a whopping 15 percent drop in compensation for 2013. It was hard to feel much sympathy for Iger, however, given the fact that he still wound up with $34.3 million for the year, down from $40.2 million in 2012. Much of the drop was attributed to a $3-million drop in his annual bonus, triggered when the company did not outperform its own projections for the year the way it did a year ago. Profits increased 8 percent for the year to a record $6.1 billion on revenue of $45 billion.
