COULD FROZEN RETURN TO NO. 1 AT BOX OFFICE?

Disney Animation’s Frozen, which already has bounced back once into first place at the box office may do so again next weekend — in its tenth week of release (or its eleventh week if an advance preview in one L.A. theater is included), early ticket sales appear to indicate. A sing-along version of the family movie has been selling more tickets on the Fandango site this week than any other film, including the current No. 1 film, Ride Along, and the weekend’s newcomers, That Awkward Moment and Labor Day, the ticket seller said on Wednesday. The sing-along version will be screening in 2,057 of the 2,754 theaters in which the movie is booked. Apparently fans of the movie are already boning up on the music. The soundtrack album last week returned to No. 1 on the Billboard album chart with sales of 93,000, bringing its total sales to 796,000. The movie itself has now grossed $348.6 million domestically.
