DISNEY TO LAUNCH FROZEN SING-ALONG NEXT WEEK

Frozen has already become Disney Animation’s biggest hit in 20 years. After two months in release, it still was among the top five at the box office last weekend, and now Disney has figured out a way to bring audiences who saw it in November and December back to the theaters again: a sing-along version. Beginning on Jan. 31, the musical numbers in the film will be accompanied by onscreen lyrics and a bouncing snowflake to help viewers who have not already learned the words to the music. That would be entirely understandable. Although the Frozen CD has topped Billboard magazine’s album chart for two weeks and the song “Let It Go” has been downloaded more than 600,000 times, Billboard reported this week that none of the music is being played on the radio, except, of course, on Radio Disney.
