DREAMWORKS ANIMATION TO PRODUCE DAILY SHOW ON YOUTUBE

DreamWorks Animation and Google’s YouTube are teaming up to produce a daily series called YouTube Nation that will highlight some of the most popular or viral videos on the website, published reports said on Thursday. DWA is expected to produce the show, which YouTube will finance, which will have a host, a permanent set, and regular staff, the reports said. However, the video-sharing site is expected to help select the content with DWA’s 10-member production team. The deal strengthens the ties between the two companies. Last year, DWA acquired the YouTube teen network AwesomenessTV for $33 million.
