NBCUniversal News Group and Terry Semel’s Windsor Media are backing a new website launched by former AllThingsD editors Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg called Re/code. The pair said that they had formed a company, Revere Digital, that “will be operating news sites and apps, as well as a series of conferences.” Their first conference, they said, will take place in Los Angeles on May 27-29, featuring Brian Roberts, chairman and CEO of Comcast, the corporate parent of NBCUniversal, and Sergey Brin, cofounder of Google. Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal said that its AllThingsD website will henceforth be called WSJD.
