SEINFELD’S WEB SERIES A HUGE HIT

Jerry Seinfeld can do no wrong. His TV sitcom “about nothing” was one of the most successful series ever, and his micro-budgeted Internet series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, also about nothing, has now hit 25 million streams as of its latest episode. The series offers six shows per season. Its third season airing currently, features Seinfeld picking up comedians, driving them to a coffee coffee shop in a different classic car, and shmoozing with them. His guests during the season include Tina Fey, Howard Stern, Louis C.K., Jay Leno, Patton Oswalt and Todd Barry. Crackle, which airs the series, has already agreed to carry Season 4. “My initial intention was to make a few of these silly little things for the stand-up-comedy obsessed like myself,” Seinfeld told TheWrap.com. “Thanks to [Sony Pictures TV President] Steve Mosko, the cool Crackle people and especially Acura, it’s gotten completely out of hand. I consider myself extremely lucky to have fallen in with folks who also enjoy the weird fun of playing a game with no real rules.”
