If you’re a New Yorker and a die-hard football fan, you will have a choice of sitting in your warm, comfortable home in front of the TV to watch Super Bowl XLVIII being played at MetLife Stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, or you could buy a ticket, make your way through traffic to the uncovered stadium itself, and sit in hard stadium seats in freezing weather to watch the game. Oh, and did we mention that you’d likely have to pay thousands of dollars for the chance to do so? Yes, thousands. Tickets to the game are due to go on sale this week, and today’s (Thursday) New York Post reports that one New York ticket broker plans to offer $2,200 for upper-deck tickets and resell them for $2,880. He’ll offer $3,000 for lower-deck tickets and resell them for $3,900 each.
