WOLF OF WALL STREET DVD TO OFFER 4-HOUR VERSION

People who eventually buy The Wolf of Wall Street DVD will be able to see it pretty much the way it was when it was first submitted to the MPAA ratings board — that is, before director Martin Scorsese was forced to cut it to avoid an NC-17 rating. Besides the three-hour version that was released theatrically, a four-hour director’s cut will also be included, producer Riza Aziz has disclosed. Today’s Guardian quotes him as saying, “the sex scenes run a little longer but nothing extreme.” However, additional uses of the f-word will be heard. In fact, according to the newspaper, Scorsese could potentially break the 750 record set by a documentary about the f-word itself. But co-producer Joey McFarland indicated that there will be nothing particularly scandalous about The Wolf of Wall Street DVD. “To be honest with you,” he told the Guardian, “the movie is not much different in its longer form, it’s just longer versions of scenes.”
