AMERICAN IDOL‘S RATINGS SLIP AGAIN

For the second week in a row, the declining American Idol edged out CBS’s Survivor: Brawn vs. Brains in the Wednesday 8:00 p.m. hour. Idol hung on to the night’s lead with 10.44 million viewers, while Survivor pulled in 9.62 million. Both were almost even among the 18-49 age group, with Idol garnering a 2.7 rating and a 9 share and Survivor a 2.4/8. In the 9:00 p.m. hour, however, CBS’s Criminal Minds pulled ahead of Idol among both total viewers and the 18-49 demo. Minds averaged 11.37 million viewers to Idol‘s 10.58 million.
